Machine Knitting

Welcome.   It is our pleasure to bring this new and improved technique based extravaganza to you.  Each quarter we will explore in depth a new machine knitting technique.  Videos are not machine specific so everyone, even us Passap users, can join in on the fun.  Here is a link to the supplies you will need to get started.

Tuck Stitch

This video will show you how to perform the tuck stitch on any machine.  You will learn both the manual and automated methods.  Play with this technique until you find a pattern you want to use in your coat design.  Remember, there is no right, wrong or ugly fabric.

Slip Stitch

After mastering the tuck stitch, it is only logical to move onto the slip stitch.  Same rules apply.  Let your imagination go wild.

Knit Weaving

This may be my all time favorite textured technique.  Although I do enjoy bobbles and fringe.  Pull out your hand knitting yarns or your hand spun.  You can even use thinly cut pieces of fabric.

Textured Jacket or Cardigan Pattern

I'm sure you have been swatching along with us.  Now that you have decided which of your textured designs, or combination of designs, you want to use you are ready to make a tension swatch.  Use those measurements to begin knitting the jacket.  The pattern is can be manipulated however you see fit, remember you are the designer.  It can be made in any size.  Sizes are given as a basic reference.  Most of all, Have fun!
